Mahuar (महुवर) is a river, also locally known as Samoha River, is a tributary of Sindh River. It passes through Karera Wildlife Sanctuary located in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. Its ancient name was Madhumat River.

मधुमत् नदी (AS, p.707), म.प्र., के भूतपूर्व ग्वालियर रियासत में बहने वाली नदी महुवार (Mahuar River) का प्राचीन नाम है. [4]
