Malangur (मलंगूर) is a historical town in Karimnagar district of the state of Telangana, India.

History

In Jamikunta taluka there are two ancient forts known as Bajugar and Malangur built about 700 and 1000 years ago.[1]

In Jamikunta are the two forts of Bajgur and Malangur, said to have been built respectively 700 and 1,000 years ago, and the two temples of Gurshal and Katkur. The former, built about 1229, during the reign of Raja Pratap Rudra of Warangal, though now in ruins has exquisite stone carvings still in a good state of preservation. A pillar outside the temple has an inscription in Oriya. [2]

मलंगूर (AS, p.714) जिला करीमनगर, तेलंगाना में स्थित है. मलंगूर की पहाड़ी पर एक दुर्ग है जिसे एक सहस्त्र वर्ष प्राचीन कहा जाता है. दुर्ग के सन्निकट संभवत: जैनों की प्राचीन समाधियाँ बनी हैं. [3]
