History

Mandor, near Jodhpur, was ruled by Nagavanshi rulers in ancient times. The River on which Mandor is situated is called Nagadri (नागाद्रि ). The ancient pond is known as Naga-kunda (नागकुण्ड) and the hill is called Ahi-shail (अहिशैल). These evidences show that it was under rule of Nagas in the past. It is believed that the town existed during the rule of Guptas. Later on it was ruled by Pratihara, Paramara, Chauhans and Rathores. [1]
