Prabhu Ram Chotia
Naik Prabhu Ram Chotia (1968–1999) From Indas, Nagaur, Rajasthan is Martyr of Kargil war on 13 June 1999, Unit-18 Grenadiers. Naik Prabhu Ram Chotiya was a brave soldier of the Indian Army who sacrificed his life during the Kargil War while capturing tololing in Dras Kargil by the Pakistani security forces. He along with his team marched towards tololing and reacquired the tololing on 13th June but he was no more to enjoy the success of team.
Early life
Naik Prabhu Ram Chotiya was born on 3 January 1968 at Indas in Nagaur district in Rajasthan, India in the family of Mrs. Gulabi Devi and Mr Dhana Ram Chotiya. His schooling took place in the Government school Nagaur. He excelled at school, securing first Division and winning awards throughout his academic career. Through hard work and will-power he joined Indian Army on 10 September 1987.
Career in Army
Naik Prabhu Ram Chotiya was selected for the Indian Army (18 grenadiers) in September 1987 through open military. He was the part of op. Pawan (2 September 1989 to 21 March 90), after Op. Pawan he was posted in north Sikkim and then cmfa Srinagar and from 23 March 1999 until his martyrdom on 13th June 1999 he was the part of Op. Vijay.
Honours
The Government renamed the school situated in his village after Shahid Naik Prabhu Ram in the memory of the Martyr. Govt also provided land to built a memorial of the hero of the Nation. He was also awarded with special Seva Medal (Sri Lanka), Videsh Seva Medal, and Sena Medal for his services.

कारगिल युद्ध में सामरिक महत्त्व की तौलोलिंग चोटी को दुश्मन के चंगुल से छुड़ाने के सफल अभियान में अतुलनीय शौर्यपूर्वक लड़ते हुए 13 जून 1999 को वीरगति प्राप्त इंदास, नागौर निवासी अमर शहीद नायक प्रभुराम जी चोटिया,18 ग्रेनेडियर में थे.
