Nana
Nana is a Jat clan found in Afghanistan.[1]
Origin
Jat Gotras Namesake
- Nana (Jat clan) = Nannaraja (नन्नराज) (L.2). Nagardhan Plates Of Svamiraja - (Kalachuri) Year 322 (=573 AD) were issued from Nandivardhana (नान्दीवार्द्धन) (L.1) by Nannarja (नन्नराज) (L.2). [2] Nagardhan (नगरधन) is town in Ramtek tahsil in Nagpur district of Maharashtra. It was earlier known as Nandivardhana (नन्दिवर्द्धन), which was well-known as an ancient capital of the Vakatakas.
History
H. W. Bellew writes that Nana may stand for Nau Naga Jat. [3]
