Oswan (ओसवां) is a historical place in Usmanabad district in Maharashtra.

History
Owsa Town (Ausa): Here, the fort is square in shape, surrounded by a double wall and a moat all round, and is said to have been built by the Bijapur kings. It contains a large gun; 18 feet long, [p. 104]: with the name of Nizam Shah engraved on it. Most of the old buildings are in ruins, but an extensive underground building measures 76 by 50 feet, the roof of which forms the bottom of a large cistern. An old mosque was built during Aurangzeb’s viceroyalty of the Deccan, as is apparent from an inscription it bears. The Jami Masjid in the town is built in the Bijapur style of architecture, with a dome and facade of cusped arches.[1]

विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[2] ने लेख किया है ...ओसवां (AS, p.119) महाराष्ट्र राज्य के ज़िला उस्मानाबाद का एक ऐतिहासिक स्थान है। एक प्राचीन क़िला जिसे शायद बीजापुर के सुल्तानों ने बनाया था, यहाँ का उल्लेखनीय स्मारक है। यह वर्गाकार बना हुआ है। इसके चारों ओर दो परकोटे और एक खाई है। क़िले में एक विशाल तोप रक्खी है जिस पर निजामशाह का नाम अंकित है। यहाँ के प्राचीन भवन अधिकांश में खंडहर हो गए हैं। एक अनोखे भूमिगत भवन के विस्तीर्ण खंडहर भी मिले हैं जिसकी लंबाई 76 फुट और चौड़ाई 50 फुट है। इसकी छत एक विशाल हौज़ की तली है। औरंगजेब की दक्षिण की सूबेदारी के समय बनी हुई एक मस्जिद भी यहाँ है। इस आशय का एक लेख इस पर उत्कीर्ण है। जामा मस्जिद बीजापुर की वास्तुशैली में निर्मित है।
