Pandaul

Pandaul (पंडौल) is a town in Madhubani district in Bihar. Local tradition connects it with the Pandavas.
Location
It is located on Jaynagar-Darbhanga Railway track. Pandaul is connected to NH 527 by a main road. It also has a railway station. Pandaul is a block, and has a middle and high school as well as a college. There is a temple of Lord Shiva in Bhawanipur called Ugna Mahadev Mandir, located about 3 km from Pandaul. This place is famous for Kaali puja celebration which happens each year during diwali in Sohray. Sohray Village is 3 km away from main City.

पंडौल
विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[1] ने लेख किया है ...पंडौल (AS, p.517) बिहार में उत्तर-पूर्व रेलवे की दरभंगा-जयनगर शाखा पर स्थित एक ऐतिहासिक स्थान है। एक प्राचीन क़िले के ध्वंसावशेष पंडौल में स्थित हैं, जिस कारण यह स्थान महत्त्वपूर्ण है। एक जनश्रुति में पंडौल पांडवों के समय का बताया जाता है, जैसा कि स्थान के नाम से भी सूचित होता है।
