Origin
This gotra is said to be originated from Nagavanshi Pinda Sekta (पिण्ड सेक्ता). [3]
History
Pindasekta (पिण्ड सेक्ता) was a Naga of the race of Taksaka. This serpent was burnt to death at the Sarpasatra of Janamejaya. (Sloka 7, Chapter 57, Adi Parva).
