Pindar Ganga (पिण्डार गंगा) is a river located in Uttarakhand, India. Pindar Ganga originates from Pindari Glacier which is located in Bageshwar district of Kumaon region in Uttarakhand.[1]

Pindar River gets name from Pindara Naga (पिण्डार) who was a Nagavanshi king mentioned in Mahabharata (V.101.14) born in the race of Takshaka.

History
Pindar Ganga originates from Pindari Glacier which is located in Bageshwar district of Kumaon region in Uttarakhand.[3] The source of this river, the Pindar glacier is located at an altitude of 3,820 m (12,530 ft). Pindar glacier has relatively easier access and has been documented well for its retreat over 100 years.[4]
The river crosses villages like Manmatti, Dewalo, Nandkeshri, Tharli, Kulsari, Bhagoli, Narayanbagar, Nauligaon and Nauti. Pindar river mouth is located at Karnaprayag where it ends by its confluence with Alaknanda River. [5]

Pindara (पिण्डार) (Naga) is mentioned in Mahabharata (V.103.14).
Udyoga Parva/Mahabharata Book V Chapter 101 describes Bhogavati city and innumerable Nagas dwelling there. Pindara (पिण्डार) (Naga) is mentioned in Mahabharata (V.103.14).[6]....Karavira, Pitharaka, Samvritta, Vritta, Pindara, Vilwapatra, Mushikada, Shirishaka, ....
