Ramaul (रमौल) is a Village in Shivaji Nagar Block in Samastipur District of Bihar State, India. The Ashrama of Yagyavalkya is said to be located at this place.

It is located 25 KM towards East from District head quarters Samastipur. 2 KM from Shivaji Nagar. 107 KM from State capital Patna Ramaul Pin code is 848117 and postal head office is Ilmasnagar. This Place is in the border of the Samastipur District and Darbhanga District. Darbhanga District Baheri is North towards this place . Also it is in the Border of other district Begusarai.[1]
History
Yanjavalkya is estimated to have lived in around the 8th century BCE.[2]
रमौल, बिहार
रमौल (AS, p.778): बिहार के ऐतिहासिक स्थानों में से एक है। यह कमतौल स्टेशन से लगभग तीन मील दूर स्थित एक छोटा-सा ग्राम है। इस ग्राम के निकट ही वट वृक्षों का एक वन है। कहा जाता है कि मिथिला नरेश जनक की सभा के रत्न महर्षि याज्ञवल्क्य का आश्रम इसी स्थान पर था। याज्ञवल्क्य प्राचीन भारत के महान् विचारक तथा मेधावी विद्वान् थे। [3]
