Risthal (रिस्थल) is a small village in Sitamau tahsil district Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh. Its population is about 600. It is situated in north of Sitamau and south of Nahargarh village.

History

Risthal Inscription clarifies the role of Aulikara Kings in the history of Malwa in the 5th and 6th centuries as well as understanding the history and inter relationship of contemporary dynasties of the Hunas and Guptas. The importance of Risthal Inscription has been duely recognized but its historical ramifications have not been worked out.[1]

We know now that Yashodharman was from the family of Aulikaras of Mandsor about whom the Risthal Inscription gives rich information. [2]
