History
A small princely state before 1947, it was founded in 1701, and was ruled by the Rathore dynasty. The total area of the state was 523 square kilometres.

Sitamau is located at Latitude 24.02 N Longitude 75.35 E[1]. It has an average elevation of 457 metres
Demographics
As of 2001 India census Sitamau had a population of 12,889. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%.
