Karnali
Karnali (करनाली) is a village in Sitamau tehsil, Mandsaur district in Madhya Pradesh.

Karanika (करणिक), Gananika (गाणनिक) is mentioned by Panini in Ashtadhyayi. [1]

V. S. Agrawala[2] writes that Panini mentions Pura (IV.2.122) ending names of towns like Karnipura (Kārṇipura)
V. K. Mathur[3] writes that Karnika is mentioned in Shiva Purana (1,75). It is probably Karnali situated on the junction of Uri and Narmada.
Village officials in Chauhan Administration included one Karanika (करणिक = लिपिक): The Secretary of village assembly was known as Karnika. He used to keep account of Panchakulas.
