Sakit (साकित) is a town in the Etah district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

History
Sakit is an ancient garrison town. Sakat Singh Chauhan founded the town in his name and built the fort which is in ruined condition now, presently Police Station of Sakit is situated in the fort, and on other side of fort few unauthorized occupants are living there.
G B Malleson[1] mentions about Sakit....Area: 120 sq. miles. Population: 44,552. Revenue: 80,000 rupees. This state also came under British suzerainty in 1846, and was treated in the same manner as the others. It has no special history. The Raja pays a tribute to the British Government of 11,000 rupees. He has the right of adoption.

साकित (AS, p.950), जिला एटा, उ.प्र. में स्थित है. यह स्थान सकतदेव चौहान का बसाया हुआ है. 1285 ई. में यहां बलवन ने मस्जिद बनवाई थी.[2]
