Samudranishkuta (समुद्रनिष्कुट) is a place mentioned in Mahabharata. It was probably Kutch-Kathiawar region of Saurashtra in Gujarat, India.

Sabha Parva, Mahabharata/Book II Chapter 47 mentions the Kings who brought tributes to Yudhishthira: Samudranishkuta (सामुद्रनिष्कुट) is mentioned in Mahabharata (II.47.9)......And the tribes Vairamas, Paradas, Vangas, with the Kitavas who lived upon crops that depended on water from the sky or of the river and also they who were born in regions on the sea-shore (Samudranishkuta) (समुद्रनिष्कुट) (II.47.9), in woodlands, or countries on the other side of the ocean waited at the gate.

Bhisma Parva, Mahabharata/Book VI Chapter 10 describes geography and provinces of Bharatavarsha. Samudranishkuta (सामुद्रनिष्कुट) is mentioned in in Mahabharata (VI.10.47). .....the Upavrisha-Anupavrisha, the Surashtra, the Kekayas; the Kuttaparantas, the Dvidheyas, the Kakshas, the Samudranishkutas;

समुद्रनिष्कुट

समुद्रनिष्कुट (AS, p.936): महाभारत, सभापर्व 51,11 में उल्लिखित स्थान - 'इन्द्रकृष्टैर्वर्तयन्ति धान्यैर्सेच नदीमुखैः समुद्रनिष्कुटेजाताः पारेसिंधु च मानवाः, ते वैरामाः पारदाश्च आभीराः कितवैः सह, विविधिं बलिमादाय रत्नानि विविधानि च। अर्थात् "युधिष्ठिर की राजसभा में समुद्रनिष्कुट तथा सिंधु के पार रहने वाले मेघों के और नदी के जल से उत्पन्न धान्यों द्वारा जीविका प्राप्त करने वाले वैराम, पारद, आभीर तथा कितव कर के रूप में अनेक प्रकार की भेंट लेकर उपस्थित हुए।" 'समुद्रनिष्कुट' सम्भवतः कच्छ-काठियावाड़ (सौराष्ट्र) के छोटे से प्राय:द्वीप का नाम है। निष्कुट गृहोद्यान का पर्याय है और सौराष्ट्र प्राय:द्वीप की समुद्र के भीतर स्थिति का परिचायक है।
