Sandeep Arya
Sandeep Arya is a member of Indian Foreign Service.
He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1994.
He has served at the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi, as Director in the Eurasia Division (2007-2008), Director in the Disarmament and International Security Affairs Division (2009-2012) and earlier, at the External Publicity Division (1998-2001).
In the past, he has served at the Embassies of India in Moscow (twice), Kyiv (Ukraine) and The Hague (Netherlands).
His last assignment was as Deputy Chief of Mission in Embassy of India, Moscow from 2012-15.
Ambassador Sandeep Arya has assumed charge as High Commissioner of India to Tanzania in August 2015.
Ambassador Sandeep Arya has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Technology degree in Nuclear Technology. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics and Master of Business Administration.
Languages known - He speaks fluently Hindi, English and Russian.
He is married to Dr. Suveta Singh and they have two sons.
