Sonadah is a Village in Bamhindih Tehsil in Janjgir-champa District of Chattisgarh State, India. It is located 25 KM towards South from District head quarters Janjgir. 23 KM from Bamhanidih. Bandabhara ( 3 KM ) , Parsadih ( 3 KM ) , Birra ( 3 KM ) , Arsiya ( 4 KM ) , Mukta ( 5 KM ) are the nearby Villages to Sonadah. Sonadah is surrounded by Bilaigarh Tehsil towards South , Bamhindih Tehsil towards North , Janjgir Tehsil towards North , Nawagarh Tehsil towards west.[3]

History

Sënâdu/Senadu (सेणाडु) village mentioned in (V.39) of Kharod stone Inscription of Ratnadeva II : Chedi year 933 (1181 AD) has been identified with Sonada, 15 miles to the east of Kharôd in the Janjgir tahsil.....(V.39) He (Gangâdhara) excavated at the village called Sēṇāḍu (सेणाडु) a very large lotus-pool, the blooming lotuses in which are kissed by swarms of lovely humming bees.
