Shuktiman

Shuktiman (शुक्तिमान्) is one of the seven holy mountains (kulaparvata) situated in Bhārata, a region south of Mount Meru. It was subdued by Bhīmasena in the course of his conquest of the eastern country. (Mahābhārata Sabhā Parva, Chapter 30, Verse 5)

History
Śuktimān (शुक्तिमान्).—One of the seven holy mountains (kulaparvata) situated in Bhārata, a region south of mount Meru, according to the Varāhapurāṇa chapter 85. In the settlements (janapada) along these mountains dwell Āryas and Mlecchas who drink water from the rivers flowing there. Meru is one of the seven mountains located in Jambūdvīpa, which is ruled over by Āgnīdhra, a grandson of Svāyambhuva Manu, who was created by Brahmā, who was in turn created by Nārāyaṇa, the unknowable all-pervasive primordial being, who was created by Brahmā, who was in turn created by Nārāyaṇa, the unknowable all-pervasive primordial being.[1][2]
Śuktimān (शुक्तिमान्).—A mountain which was subdued by Bhīmasena in the course of his conquest of the eastern country. (Mahābhārata Sabhā Parva, Chapter 30, Verse 5)[3][4]

Sabha Parva, Mahabharata/Book II Chapter 27 mentions the countries subjugated by Bhimasena. Shuktimanta (शुक्तिमन्त) Mountain is mentioned in Mahabharata (II.27.5).[5]..... the son of Pandu (Bhima) next conquered the country of Bhallata, as also the mountain of Kukshimanta (Shuktimanta) that was by the side of Bhallata.
Bhisma Parva, Mahabharata/Book VI Chapter 10 describes geography and provinces of Bharatavarsha. Shuktiman (शुक्तिमान्) Mountain is mentioned in Mahabharata (VI.10.10).[6].... Mahendra, Malaya, Sahya, Shuktiman, Rikshavan, Vindhya, and Pariyatra,--these seven are the Kula-mountains (of Bharatvarsha).
शुक्तिमान पर्वत
विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर [7] ने लेख किया है ...शुक्तिमान पर्वत (AS, p.904) : प्राचीन भारत के सप्तकुल पर्वतों में इसकी भी गणना है - 'महेन्द्रो मलयः सह्य: शुक्तिमानृक्षपर्वतः, विंध्यश्च पारियात्रश्च सप्तैते कुलपर्वताः।' विष्णुपुराण 2,3,3
महाभारत में इस पर्वत पर पाण्डव भीमसेन द्वारा विजय प्राप्त करने का वर्णन है- 'एवं बहुविधान् देशान् बिजिग्ये भरतर्षभः भल्लाटमभितो जिग्ये शुक्तिमन्त च पर्वतम्। महाभारत, सभापर्व 30,5
श्रीमद्भागवत 5,19,16 में भी इसका उल्लेख है- 'विंध्यः शुक्तिमानृक्षगिरिः पारियात्रो द्रोणाश्चित्रकूटो गोवर्धनो रैवतकः।' इस पर्वत का सतपुड़ा या महादेव पर्वतमाला से अभिज्ञान किया जा सकता है। विष्णुपुराण 2,3,14 मे शुक्तिमान् से उड़ीसा की ऋषिकुल्या नामक नदी को उद्भूत माना गया है- 'ऋषिकुल्या कुमार्याद्याः शुक्तिमत्पादसंभवाः।' इस उल्लेख से विदित होता है कि यह पर्वत विंध्याचल के पूर्वी भाग का कोई पर्वत है, जिससे निस्सृत होकर ऋषिकुल्या नदी उड़ीसा में बहती हुई 'बंगाल की खाड़ी' में गिरती है। शुक्तिमान पर्वत का शुक्तिमती नाम की नदी और इसी नाम की नगरी से संबंध जान पड़ता है।
