Shuramangalam (शूरमंगलम) is a village in Nettapakkam Commune in the Union Territory of Puducherry, India. It is a village near Tanjaur in Tamil Nadu, India.
Location
Sooramangalam is bordered by Kariyamanickam in the south and rest all three sides by villages belonging to Tamil Nadu. Sooramangalam is located on the north tip of Nettapakkam Enclave.

History
शूरमंगलम
शूरमंगलम AS, p.907): तंजौर के निकट एक ग्राम है जो दक्षिण भारत की विशिष्ट नृत्यशैली भरतनाट्यम के लिए प्राचीन समय में प्रसिद्ध था। यह ग्राम इस नृत्य का एक केंद्र समझा जाता था। इस नृत्य के अन्य केंन्द्र मेलात्तूर तथा उथूकाडू थे। [1]
