History

Village is having both Dhankhar and Sheoran gotra populations and they have brotherhood relations . The village should find a rightful place in the Jat history as it is an originating place for one of the important clan i.e. Sheoran. Legend has it that there were two brothers Sheora and Sumra who were passing by the place where my village is situated now to find some greener pastures due to a severe drought in their village. The wheel of their bull cart got damaged and they had to stop there. Nearby, there lived a Saint named Baba Sidh Nath who advised them to settle there and blessed them. Sheorans are now scattered over many villages but the main thrust is in this area in about 52 villages. There is a famous Dera in this village in the name of Baba Sidhnath and a majestic Dharamshala has also been built (for the pilgrims from other villages and holding the bigger social congregations and Panchayats) with the donations received from devotees which include local politicians as well. These donations run in lakhs every year.
