Tarakakshetra

Tarakakshetra (तारकक्षेत्र) is a religious place in Karnataka. It is situated at village Hangal, located at a distance of 75 km from Hubli. [1] Hangal, also spelled Hanagal, Hanungal, and Hungul, is a historic town in Haveri district in the Indian state of Karnataka.
Location
Hangal lies about 75 kms south of the city of Hubli-Dharwad, about 30 kms west of the Tungabhadra river and east of the Arabian sea. It is located on state road one, running north to south. A nearby body of water is the Anakere lake.

विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[2] ने लेख किया है ...तारकक्षेत्र(AS, p.397) महाराष्ट्र में हुबली से लगभग 80 मील की दूरी पर स्थित हानगल का प्राचीन क़स्बा ही तारकक्षेत्र है। तारकक्षेत्र में धर्म नदी प्रवाहित होती है।
