Vijender Singh Gatt

Vijender Singh Gatt is retired officer of the Indian Army Army who took part in Kargil Operation in 1999 at Leh (Ladakh) in Jammu and Kashmir. He is from village Ludesar in Sirsa district in the Indian state of Haryana.

Early life and education

Born on 08 April 1968 in a small family at village Ludesar in Sirsa district in the Indian state of Haryana. Married with Sukhma Devi of Kashania Gotra at the age of 10 years. He had his school education from the same village, graduated from National College Sirsa. Then he went to Govt College Hissar to do Post graduation in Geography. At the same time, he enrolled in Army Educational Corps in 1993 from Hissar BRO.

Career in Army

During his service in Army he took part in Kargil Operation in 1999 at Leh (Ladakh) in Jammu and Kashmir.

He has two daughters Ms Renu Bala and Neeru Bala. Retired from Indian Army on 01 Nov 2013. Joined Central University of Haryana as a Junior Professional Assistant on 17 Nov 2013. He blessed with two daughters. Renu Bala and Neeru Bala. His elder daughter also took commission in India Army and become an Army Officer. She is the first Women Army officer in the District. She is the fourth in the chain of generations to serve Indian Borders.
