Ratkudia or Ratkuria (रतकुडिया) is a village in tehsil Bhopalgarh of Jodhpur district in Rajasthan.

Location

It is situated at a distance of 60 km from Jodhpur in the east direction on Pipar-Bhopalgarh road. It is located 3 km from Umed railway station.

History

This is an old historical village. The village was founded by Rattaji Jat of Kudia gotra. Hence the name Ratkudia. It was earlier settled 1 km away from present village. Remnants of ancient Ratkudia are still there. This is a well-connected village. There are temples of Thakurji and Ramdeoji. Sir Chhotu Ram had visited this village in the year 1920 to spread consciousness among the people for their rights and to acquire education.

Jat Gotras

There are 1510 families residing in the village out of them 1100 families are of Jats. Major Gotra is Benda.

The Jat gotras in the village are Saran, Benda, Dudi, Khoja, Dhaka, Senwar, Jakhar, Kaswan, Dhedu and Mad.
