Kalya

Kalya (कल्या) Kalaya (कालया) is a gotra of Jats^[1] in Madhya Pradesh.

Origin

These people are descendants of Nagavanshi Kali (काली) ^[2]/Kala (काला).^[3]

History

H.A. Rose writes about Kalya (कल्या), (1) a Kharral clan (agricultural) found in Montgomery: (2) a Rajput clan (agricultural) found in Amritsar, and (3) an Awan clan (agricultural) found in Amritsar. ^[4]
