Amit Panghal

Amit Panghal (अमित पंघाल) (born 16 October 1995) is an Indian amateur boxer. He won the bronze medal at the 2017 Asian Amateur Boxing Championships in the light flyweight category. Amit won a silver in the Light Flyweight (49 kg) category at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.[1]
Early and personal life
Panghal was born on 16 October 1995 in Mayna village of Rohtak district, Haryana. His father Vijender Singh is a farmer in his village, while his elder brother, Ajay, who works in the Indian Army, inspired him to take up boxing in 2009.[2][3]
As of March 2018, Panghal works for the Indian Army as a junior commissioned officer (JCO).[4]
Career
Panghal won the gold medal in his debut appearance at the national championships in 2017.[5] He won the bronze medal in the light flyweight category of the 2017 Asian Amateur Boxing Championships in Tashkent in May 2017, and qualified for the 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships, where he was beaten in the quarterfinal by Olympic gold medalist Hasanboy Dusmatov of Uzbekistan.[6]
In February 2018, Panghal won the gold medal at the Strandzha Cup in Sofia.[7] He was then named in India's contingent for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
2018: Amit won a silver in the Light Flyweight (49 kg) category at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.[8] "2019" September Panghal creat history won the Silver medal in World Boxing Championship- Russia . On 9th March 2020 Panghal Got Tokyo Olympic Ticket. December 2020 Panghal won Gold Medal in Germany Boxing World Cup.
2018 Asian Games
In September 2018, Panghal won a gold medal in 2018 Asian Games, defeating Hasanboy Dusmatov.
