Choudhary Bhagat Singh is the second son of Ch. Hariram Phogat and a resident of vill. Bhalaut in Rohtak district of Haryana. He fought against the British along with his father and brother Ch. Karan Singh Phogat, mother Nhantidevi, grandmother Nanhidevi. He joined freedom movement at a very tender age. He was sent to jails several times. He was awarded Taamar Patraa in recognition of his contribution in the freedom movement of India by Smt. Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India.
