Bhana Magra (भाणा मगरा) is a village in Gudha Malani tehsil and Sindhari Panchayat Samiti and Karna Grampanchayat of Barmer district, mainly inhabited by Jats.

Population

According to Census-2011 information:

With total 185 families residing, Bhana Magra village has the population of 1141 (of which 580 are males while 561 are females).[1]

Village has about 125 families. Out of them 107 families are of Jats. Other castes are Bishnoi (8), Darji (4), Suthar (5), Nai (1).

History

Village was founded about 150 years back by some Rajput families. They dug a Badi (water well) here which is known as Bhana in local terms and magra is used for hard soil. Hence the name Bhana Magra. Village is very backward. No person from here in Govt Job. There is no temple in the village.
