Captain Inder Singh
Captain Inder Singh (Born: 8 March 1935) from village Madana Kalan was was MP from Rohtak constituency (Eleventh Lok Sabha - May 1996 - Dec. 1997). He was then a candidate from Indian National Lok Dal headed by Om Prakash Chautala.
He did his graduation from Punjab University, at the Jat Heroes Memorial College, Rohtak.
Being himself an ex-Serviceman from Indian Army, Capt. Inder Singh used to take special interest for the welfare of Ex-Servicemen and their families. He was a member of Executive Committee of Indian Ex-Services League; General Secretary, Haryana Ex-Services League.
This was his first-ever entry in politics but he won this election because of his popularity among ex-servicemen. He had defeated his rival candidate from INC, Ch. Bhupender Singh Hooda, in whose case it was his only defeat from Rohtak constituency.
