Changa

Changa (चंगा) (Changga, Chango, Chohan) is an ancient gotra of Jats found in Afghanistan.[1]

- चंगा (जाट गोत्र - चंगा) : चंगा नाम का गाँव झारखंड के सराइकेला खरसावाँ जिले की राजनगर विकास-खंड में है।
History
- Rajatarangini[2] mentions Changga as a minister friendly to other powerful chief Tungga in the Kingdom of Kashmir.
- These Chang(a) clan is said to get this name from Chaghaniyan a noble principality of Jats founded by king Faghanish (a Hephthalite Jat descend) in 560s CE.[3]
