Chaudhary Dheerpal Singh

Chaudhary Dheerpal Singh (Gulia), b:15-7-1947, D:16-5-2014) was former MLA from Badli constituency in Jhajjar (Haryana) and a former Minister in Haryana Cabinet.

He passed away after a prolonged illness in his native place on 16th May, 2014.

He was a great organisational man who strengthened Lokdal [B] in Haryana in 1990's as its President.

He won 5 times from Badli seat consistently and remained MLA for 23 years from 1982 till 2005.

Badli college to be named after Dheerpal Singh

The Government College at Badli would now be renamed after late former minister Dheerpal Singh, who represented this Assembly segment five times in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha.

This was announced by Haryana Chief Minister (CM) Bhupinder Singh Hooda, while addressing a condolence meeting after paying floral tributes to the departed minister at his native village, Badli, here today.

The CM said, “Dheerpal Singh worked tirelessly for the development of society and his area. He dreamed of development of this area, hence the state government will make all efforts to ensure the development of this region in every sphere.”

Dheerpal Singh died after a brief illness at a private hospital in Delhi on May 16. He was 68.

Former Chief Minister Hukam Singh, MP Deepender Hooda’s wife Shweta Hooda, Haryana Sports Minister Sukhbir Kataria, MLAs Raghubir Kadian, Naresh Sharma and Sampat Singh, former MP Jyoti Mirdha were prominent among those who attended the condolence meet.
