Hukam Singh
Ch. Hukam Singh (Phogat), also popularly known as Master Hukam Singh born in Dhani Phogat village (Born: 28 February 1926; death: 26 February 2015) was former MLA from Charkhi Dadri, Haryana. Initially, he was associated with Indian National Congress.
After declaration of Emergency on 25 June 1975, he was put behind bars for 19 months, due to his participation in agitation led by Jayaprakash Narayan. In 1977, he won the MLA election from Charkhi Dadri constituency and became minister in the Haryana Government led by Ch. Devi Lal. Again, in 1987, he was inducted in the Cabinet of Ch. Devi Lal.

Chief Ministership of Haryana
Master Hukam Singh was also Chief Minister of Haryana for a brief period, in 1990-91. He took oath as Chief Minister of Haryana on 17 July 1990[1] till early-1991, as member of Janata Dal. He had been elected MLA thrice from Charkhi Dadri, before 1990.
A farmer, turned-trade-unionist, Master Hukam Singh wielded power in his own assembly constituency and birthplace, Charkhi Dadri. Later he found himself at the forefront of Haryana politics and thereby the national scene, in 1990.
