Chaudhary Lahri Singh

Chaudhary Lahri Singh (Malik) (B: 3 March 1901, d: 3 Oct. 1981) was former MP (3rd Lok Sabha 1962-67) from Rohtak constituency. Though a renowned politician and an associate of Sir Chhotu Ram, by profession he was an advocate in pre-Independence era. He was also a member of Punjab Vidhan Sabha from 1946-61. He was also a Minister in Punjab Government from 1946-1955.

Chaudhary Lahri Singh hailed from Bhigan village which is located in Gannaur tahsil of Sonipat district, Haryana.

Social activities: Active supporter of educational institutions in Punjab and particularly in his District. Took keen interest in uplift of Harijans and backward classes in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha and outside.
