Dasheraka (दाशेरक) was a republic mentioned in Mahabharata. Their country was probably located near western Malwa in Madhya Pradesh. They fought Mahabharata War for the Pandavas.

Sandhya Jain[1] mentions Dasheraka (दाशेरक) as a northern tribe, sided with the Pandavas (VI.112.108)(VI.46.46).

दाशेरक

विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[2] ने लेख किया है ...दाशेरक (AS, p.433) महाभारत में वर्णित एक जनपद अथवा गणराज्य का नाम है, जिसके योद्धा महाभारत के युद्ध में पांडवों की ओर से लड़े थे- 'कुंतिभोजश्च चैद्यश्च चक्षुर्भ्यां तौ जनेश्वरौ, दाशार्णका: प्रभद्राश्च दाशेरणगणै: सह' महाभारत, भीष्मपर्व 50, 47. इस प्रसंग से दाशेरक गणराज्य की स्थिति मध्य प्रदेश में जान पड़ती है। दाशेरक संभवत: दशार्ण (पश्चिमी मालवा) के निकट ही स्थित देश जान पड़ता है।

Bhisma Parva, Mahabharata/Book VI Chapter 52 describes the order of army of the (Kuru) in Mahabharata War. Dasherakas (दाशेरक) are mentioned in Mahabharata (VI.52.8).[3]....And Vinda and Anuvinda of Avanti, and the Kambojas with the Sakas, and the Surasenas, O sire, formed its tail, O great king. And the Magadhas and the Kalingas, with all the tribes of the Daserakas, accoutred in mail, formed the right wing of that array.


Bhisma Parva, Mahabharata/Book VI Chapter 46 describes Krishna, Yudhisthira and his brothers looking for arrangements of the war. Dasheraka (दाशेरक) are mentioned in Mahabharata (VI.46.46). [4]...And the ruler of the Dasharnas, and the Prayagas, with the Dasherakas, and the Anupakas, and the Kiratas were placed in its neck....


Bhisma Parva, Mahabharata/Book VI Chapter 112mentions tribes fighting the Mahabharata War. Dasheraka (दाशेरक) are mentioned in Mahabharata (VI.112.108).[5]
