Deogarh (देवगढ) is a village and site of Jat Fort in Dabra tahsil of Gwalior District in Madhya Pradesh.
Location
It is in south of Behat, the summar capital of Ranas of Gohad.
History
Under the Gohad Rana Rulers:
- The forts nearby Gohad such as Chitaura, Karwas, Madhaina, Itayli, Pipahad etc were managed by chieftains of Bamraulia clan.
Deogarh Fort
Deogarh Fort Dabra Gwalior was built by Maharaj Rana Jaswant Singh of Gohad. The fort of Deogarh is constructed on an isolated hill about 260 ft high. Length (North to South) is roughly 2000 ft., while the greatest breadth (E to W) is about 350 ft. It was a stronghold of the rulers of Gohad. It was under Hanselia clan Jat Kiledars who were vassals of Rana of Gohad. ( Source - Jat Kshatriya Culture)
