Gatauli (गतौली) is a village in Julana tehsil of Jind district in Haryana.

Location

Pincode of Gatauli is 126114. It's situated 17.4 kms away from Jind City and 20 kms From Rohtak. Gatauli is an Indian village in the district of Jind in Haryana. There are 7,600 (??) voters in Gatauli village. This village have seven ponds. The Jat clans in the village are Dhanda, Chahal, Malik and Singhmar, Beniwal. Gatauli lies on Jind-Rohtak road (NH-71) with a distance of 17.4 km from Jind City. The major occupation is agriculture. A Canal named as "Sundar Branch" flows between village Gatauli and its neighbouring village Shamlo Kalan, dividing the boundaries between the sister villages and also giving plenty of irrigational water to both the villages. A saint name Guru Randeep is born in 2 October 1983 in the family of Jaswant Malik, Kisan, Currently a Ashrum has been established in Gatauli village i.e. Shreegovinddham, every purnima thousands of devotees gathered in Shreegovinddham and receive spiritual teaching of God Krishna. Pt. Sunhera is the well known personality in the village. He was doing farming since his childhood. He is known for his work not only in parent village but also in the local village of Jind distt.

History

This village is named Gatauli because once the villagers saved a Cow "Gau" and weighted "Tauli" it equals to Gold.
