Jogda (जोगड़ा) Jogra (जोगड़ा)/ (जोगरा)[1] [2]is gotra of Jats. [3][4]
Origin
जुगड़ा (जाट गोत्र - जोगड़ा) : जुगड़ा नाम का गाँव झारखंड के पश्चिमी सिंहभूम जिले की बंदगांव विकास-खंड में है।
History
H.A. Rose[5] writes that the Kang are said to claim descent from the Solar Race of Ajudhia through their ancestor Jogra, father of Kang, and in Amritsar give the following pedigree : —
Ram Chandar. → Lahu. → Ghaj. → Harbam → Talochar. → Mal. → Jogra. → Kang.
(According to the Sialkot tradition Jogra had four sons, Rai, Natt, Kang and Abala origin who founded as many septs.)
