Mahavansa/Chapter 7 mentions The Consecrating of Vijaya in Sri Lanka: There Vijaya founded the city of Tambapanni....Here and there did Vijaya's ministers found villages....Anuradhagama was built by a man of that name near the Kadamba river; the chaplain Upatissa built Upatissagama on the bank of the Qambhira river, to the north of Anuradhagama. Three other ministers built, each for himself, Ujjeni, Uruvela, and the city of Vijita.
Mahavansa/Chapter 15 mentions in the chapter- 'The Acceptance of the Maha Vihara'....In our age of the world there lived first the Conqueror Kakusandha, a teacher versed in all truth, compassionate toward all the world. At that time this Mahamegha-grove was known as Mahatittha; the capital called Abhaya lay eastward on the other side of the Kadamba-river, there Abhaya was king. This island then bore the name Ojadipa.
Mahavansa/Chapter 34 mentions about The Eleven Kings. After the death of Bhatikaraja his younger brother named Mahadathika Maha Naga reigned twelve years, intent on works of merit of many kinds.....The king built the great Ambatthala-thupa...When he had made ready around the Cetiya-mountain a (tract of land measuring a) yojana, and had made four gateways and a beautiful road round about (the mountain),....That the people might go with clean feet on the road from the Kadamba-river to the Cetiya-mountain he bad it laid with carpets the gods themselves might hold a festival assembly' there with dance and music and lie gave great largess at the four gates of the capital.
कदंब नदी
विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[1] ने लेख किया है ... कदंब (AS, p.129): महवंश (7,43) में वर्णित नदी जो लंका की वर्तमान लवत्तुओय नामक नदी है। कदंब नदी के तट पर भारत से लंका जाने वाले राजकुमार विजय के सामंत अनुराध ने अनुराधपुर नामक प्रसिद्ध नगर बसाया था जिसके खंडहर आज भी लंका के पर्यटकों का मुख्य आकर्षण हैं।

विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[2] ने लेख किया है ...शत्रुंजय पहाड़ी (AS, p.889): गुजरात के ऐतिहासिक नगर पालीताना के निकट पाँच पहाड़ियों में सबसे अधिक पवित्र पहाड़ी, जिस पर जैनों के प्रख्यात मन्दिर स्थित हैं। जैन ग्रन्थ 'विविध तीर्थकल्प' में शत्रुंजय के निम्न नाम दिए गए हैं–सिद्धिक्षेत्र, तीर्थराज, मरुदेव, भगीरथ, विमलाद्रि, महस्रपत्र, सहस्रकाल, तालभज, कदम्ब, शतपत्र, नगाधिराजध, अष्टोत्तरशतकूट, सहस्रपत्र, धणिक, लौहित्य, कपर्दिनिवास, सिद्धिशेखर, मुक्तिनिलय, सिद्धिपर्वत, पुंडरीक।
