Kalsan

Kalsan (कलसन) or Kalasan is a Muslim Jat clan found in Pakistan. Kalasan (कलसन), Muhammadan Jat clan, found in Montgomery, Pakistan.^[1]

History

Kalsan (कल्सन) is also a Gujar tribe, claiming descent from Rana Har Rai, Chauhan. He assigned them a part of his conquests in the Jumna Doab and they still hold a little land in the Chauhan Nardak of Karnal. Kalsan (कालसन) Gujar clan is found in Amritsar.

According to 1911 census the Kalsan were the principal Muslim Jat clan in:

Montgomery District (Sahiwal District) - Kalsan (576)
Jhang District - Kalsan (533)
Lyalpur District (Faisalabad District) - Kalasan (581)
