Karig (करीग)[1] [2] Kargha (करघ) Kari (करी)[3] is a gotra of Jats found in Punjab.
Origin
There was a republic called Karishaka (करीषक) during Mahabharata period, who lost it and moved here and there and were called Karig. [4]

- The Mahabharata Tribe - Karishaka (करीषक) may be identified with present Jat Gotra - Karig (करीग) Kari (करी).
