History

James Tod in his Itinerary from Jaisalmer to Sehwan, on the right bank of the Indus, and Haidarabad, and return by Umarkot to Jaisalmer writes about Karsana (7 coss). — A hundred houses. Two coss east of Karsana are the remains of an ancient city ; brick buildings still remaining, with well and reservoirs. Sandhills two to three coss to the northward.
