Kayu (कायु) is a country mentioned in Mahabharata. Its inhabitants were called Kayavya (कायव्य). It has been identified with province of Khyber Pass.[1]

Sandhya Jain[2] mentions Kayavya (कायव्य) as a northwestern tribe in the tribute list (II.48.12).
