Kharsandi (खरसन्ङी), is a village in Nohar tehsil of Hanumangarh district in Rajasthan.

Location

Located on Nohar-Sahwa Road, Situated in South-West of Nohar (25 KM from Nohar)


History

The village was founded in early 1900s when some Sihag families came from Rupalisar and Nehrana. Sahu Jats also joined them from Nehrana.Though there were some families living there but they had already left the village before the immigration of Sihags.

Ch Natthu Ram Sihag was one of the earliest inhabitants who died in 1904 just after the four years of his immigration from Rupalisar.

His son Choudhary Mansa Ram Sihag was a notable philanthropist. He helped Jat middle School of Sangaria when the school was in its infancy. He helped Swami keshwanand donating a room in Gramothan Vidyapeeth Sangaria.

His grandson Ch Lekhram Sihag donated a room for prestigious Jat dharamshala of Pallu.

  • Lekhram Sihag - ( His four sons Begraj, Aadram, Jai Lal and Mahaveer Sihag donated a room in Jat Samaj Bhawan Nohar, a room in local governmental school and ten lakh rupees in local Gaushala.)
