Kiloi
Kiloi (किलोई, कलोई) is a large village in district Rohtak of Haryana. The govt. (tahsil) revenue records on this village show its registered name in two parts - Kiloi Dopana and Kiloi Khas.
Location
It is the centre of Hooda Khap and is a constituency of Haryana Vidhan Sabha. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the present Chief Minister of Haryana, won election from this constituency.
History
In the 1880s, a branch of the Arya Samaj was established in Rohtak by Rai Sahib Sansar Chand, who succeeded in drawing the villages of Sanghi and Kiloi in Rohtak into the Arya Samaj fold.
Sculpture unearthed
The following is the photo of ancient temple statue/sculpture in Kiloi. The temple is the site of famous Shiv Ratri Mela in the village. The sculpture was excavated from the village site after it partially showed itself out from the top side, from the soil.
