Kimpuna River (किंपुना) river is mentioned in Mahabharata (2-9-24). It is probably a river of Orissa state in India flowing near Vaitarani.

Kimpunā (किम्पुना).—A river in Devaloka. It worships Varuṇa in his assembly. (Sabhā Parva, Chapter 9, Verse 20).[1][2]

Sabha Parva, Mahabharata/Book II Chapter 9 mentions the Kings Oceans and the Rivers who attended Sabha of Varuna. Kimpuna River (किंपुना) is mentioned in Mahabharata (2-9-24). विशल्या नदी
विशल्या नदी (AS, p.862): महाभारत, सभापर्व 9,20 के अनुसार एक नदी जिसका उल्लेख किंपुना तथा वैतरणी के साथ किया गया है- 'किंपुना च विशल्या च तथा वैतरणी नदी।' वैतरणी उड़ीसा की नदी है। विशल्या इसी के समीप बहने वाली कोई नदी जान पड़ती है। [4]
