Majholi (मझौली) is a town and tahsil in Jabalpur district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

Majhouli is a Tehsil in Jabalpur District of Madhya Pradesh State, India. It is located 41 KM towards North from District head quarters Jabalpur. 307 KM from State capital Bhopal towards west. Majhouli Tehsil is bounded by by Sihora Tehsil towards East , Panagar Tehsil towards South , Bahoriband Tehsil towards North, Patan Tehsil towards west. [1]
History
A major tourist attraction in Majholi is the Vishnu-Varaha Temple. It is an ancient temple from the 11th century CE [2] that has an elephant sized Varaha statue. In front of the Varaha statue, an Adi Narayan statue rests. Behind the Adi Narayan, Sheshnag (Snake) is sitting between front legs of Varaha. Behind Sheshnag, there is the wife of Sheshnag. All four vedas are underneath four legs of Varaha.[3]
मझौली
विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[4] ने लेख किया है ...मझौली (AS, p.693), जिला जबलपुर, म. प्र., में जबलपुर से 34 मील दूर यह स्थान वराह भगवान के अति प्राचीन मंदिर [p.694]: के लिए विख्यात है. वराह की प्रतिमा लगभग 9 फुट ऊँची है. मझोली से 12 मील पर रूपनाथ नामक ग्राम है जहाँ अशोक का एक शिलालेख स्थित है.
