Moti Singh Rana from Punjab was awarded Padam Shree 1977 in Science and Technology and Agriculture. He was Kachchhawa (Rana) from Jadla village in Nawanshahr district now Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar, Punjab.
He was revolutionary, national leader, Member of Ghadar Party, gave Hind Mata award to Shaheed Bhagat Singh's mother, Former Punjab Congress President and a legendary Jat figure in Independent India alongside Ch. Charan Singh. Having an exceptionally strong political persona, a revered personality admired across political lines. He was awarded with the Padma Shree (1977) award in the field of Science and Technology and Agriculture.
