Nandilaya (नांदीलया) is a gotra of Jats. [1]
Origin
Jat Gotras Namesake
- Nandilaya (Jat clan) = Nandghat, a village in tahsil Nawagarh of Bemetara district in Chhattisgarh. It is probably same as Nandavali (नन्दावली) mentioned in Verse-23 of Ratanpur Stone Inscription Of Jajalladeva I - (Kalachuri) Year 866 (=1114 AD) p.416.[2]
- Nandilaya (Jat clan) = Nandivardhana (नान्दीवार्द्धन) (L.1). Nagardhan Plates Of Svamiraja - (Kalachuri) Year 322 (=573 AD) were issued from Nandivardhana (नान्दीवार्द्धन) (L.1) by Nannarja (नन्नराज) (L.2). [3] Nagardhan (नगरधन) is town in Ramtek tahsil in Nagpur district of Maharashtra. It was earlier known as Nandivardhana (नन्दिवर्द्धन), which was well-known as an ancient capital of the Vakatakas.
