Naurojpur was initially settled by Bloch's but Vidhudi Gujars kicked them out of this Safe Haven for their own interst. Bhati Gujars, Nain Jats and Dagurs joined them later in late 16th and early 17th Century.

Location

Naurojpur Gujar is situated 7km North of Baghpat Town. Shri Budh Sain Jain was a Nominated Pradhan by District Authorities at time of Freedom struggle. It was declared Revenue Village in early 1930's. This village has its own Gram Panchayat from 1952. Chaudhary Bhim Singh was the first elected Pradhan of this village. History

Initially this village was settled by Bloch's but Vidhudi Gujars kicked them out of this Safe Haven for their own interst. Vidhuri Gujars are the one who escaped from Tuglaqabad, Badarpur & Maharauli area of Southern Delhi in Mid 17th century to avoid the forced conversion of Hinduism to Islam by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Vidhudi Gujars found the safest place to settle down here. Later the Bhatis joined them on their inherited land rights from the relatives. Vidhudis and Bhatis are Blood relatives, but Vidhudis later converted into Islam for unknown reason. While their ancestor in outer Delhi are still living as Hindu. Since there was no direct route of Bus & Rail to this danced forest. No Police or any other authority could reach them for any reason. A family of Nine members stayed at this place for "Nine days" and then approached their family to join this safe Place covered by Jungle. This is the Reason for the Name of this village known as Naurojpur. The another version of the story is that the Vidhuris came and went back to their native place in outer Delhi Nine times to settle down at this place. These families wanted to make sure that they are moving to a safe place from every aspect of life. Since there was another Village with the same name in Baghpat Tehsil therefore to differentiate two Villages. District Board Meerut passed a resolution with the efforts of Chuadhary Bhim Singh (Member District Board) from Naurojpur Gujar. Gujar & Emma were suffixed with the name of these two villages. Jats of different Gotras came in this village from Saroorpur Kalan (Baghpat), Bagadu (Sonepat), Baraut, Kishanpur Biral (Baghpat) District. Teotia from Bhatona (Buland Shahar) and Indolia from Achhnera (Agra) District. 1. Nain: Saroorpur Kalan 1682 2. Dagur: Bagadu (Sonepat) 1705 3. Indolia: Achhnera (Agra) 1852 4. Tomar: Baraut 1854 5. Teotia: Bhatona 1890 6. Tomar: Kishanpur Biral 1944

Historical Incidences

In 1966 Chaudhary Deshraj Singh S/O Shri Badan Singh Caught a Dacoit during a very daring battle between the Dacoit's gang. During the incident the gang badly injured Chaudhary Dharam Singh S/O Shri Jahangira Singh. During this live Dacoits raid Shri Chandra Singh S/O Dharam Singh escaped from the home and let his Uncle Shri Alam Singh S/O Jahangira Singh know the whole incidence. Shri Alam Singh woke up Shri Deshraj Singh who was a retired Azad Hind Fauj Soldier. They all went to fight fight this gang almost empty hands other than their sticks. Some he managed to grab one of the gang members who later were recognized as Rajpal Singh of village Gahandpur. He was brutally beaten by the villagers and Police to get his identity. He was later died in the jail because of his injuries. In 1984 State Assembly Election the Supporters of Nawab Kokab Hamid Khan captured the booth and no one from the supporters of his opponent Chaudhary Sahab Singh S/O Shri Surat Singh R/O Baghu could cast their votes. Prof: M S Chaudhary was posted @ Rampur Maniharan (SRE) came to cast his vote all the way from Saharanpur, Chaudhary Sahab Singh & Chaudhary Mahak Singh were Junior High School class-mates. When M S Chaudhary reached at his residence almost Hundredth of people were gathered there just to discuss the situation. Most of them were older and illiterate who didn't have any clue how to deal with situation. Mahak Singh Chaudhary asked them 'Are you all willing to cast your votes" and all unanimously said "YES" but without any fight. Mahak Singh Chaudhary told them that you can legally cast your votes and I'll let know but you have to create a Psychological pressure on the other party, rest of the things leave at him. All the women and Men voters from Dagurs picked their available weapons (Kharpali, Ballam & Bhala) in the Dunlop Carts/Tractor Trolleys and proceed towards the High School where the Polling Booths were assigned for them. Mahak Singh Chaudhary and few others went through the residences of Gujars who had captured the Polling Booth and casted Jats votes. The News was spread to the Gujars and few their Jat friends that Dagurs are coming with full plan of fight and will cast their votes forcibly. All the crooked ran away from the Polling booths. Prof: Mahak Singh Chaudhary went inside the Polling Station and inquired about his vote and the Presiding Officer said to him that your Votes already have been casted. Prof: Chaudhary told him that I just came from my Posting place which in Saharanpur District, how come my vote has been casted while I didn't show up here earlier? Prof: Chaudhary asked the Polling Agent whether he knows me and the Polling Agent said yes he knows me. Prof: Chaudhary asked the second question, did you see me casting my vote earlier and the Polling Agent's answer was NO. Prof: Chaudhary requested the Presiding Officer to issue him another Ballet so that he could cast his vote. The Presiding Officer said that there is no way that he would allow him to issue another Ballot then Prof: Chaudhary asked him whether he knows about Tender vote he said that he doesn't know anything about that kind of vote. Prof: Chaudhary asked the Presiding Officer whether he has read his Polling Diary and Presiding Officer said that he did but not cleared about Tender vote. Presiding Officer denied the Ballot and then Prof: Chaudhary called his supporters to snatch all the documents from these idiots and start casting their votes. All Four Polling Stations were operated by Prof: Chaudhary and his supporters very peacefully. An In-charge Police Officer argued with Prof: Chaudhary who explained him that Polling Party is not well trained and I will have to explain them how to issue the Ballot for Tender Votes? The Police Officer was convinced and let the Poll go smoothly by Prof: Chaudhary and supporters. After Casting over 486 votes Prof: Chaudhary and the Dagurs left the Polling Area but the opponents felt that they have been insulted by Prof: Chaudhary and Dagurs, then asked the same Police Officer that you need to inform upper authorities about this incident otherwise we'll complaint to Election Commission.

Hindu Muslim Unity

  1. There was a great example of Hindu Muslim unity, when wife of Jia S/O Kale (Barber) was abducted by a Jat from Katha Village then Tekka, Ghasita (Jat Brothers), Sukhdeo (Gujar), Jia (Barber) and Rahim Ali (Muslim) from Niwada went to get her back. He was not willing to release her at any cost therefore this Gang Killed him.
  2. Another example of unity was shown by the villagers when a Brahmin family murdered their pregnant daughter in law with two little children in 1974. No one come forward to become a witness from the village. It was not because of any threat or fear but Head of the family accepted the crime and requested the Villagers to excuse his family for this brutal act.

The very First Managing Committee was headed by Shri Kabal Singh S/O Jahangir Singh as President and Shri Tek Chand S/O Shri Hardan Singh as Manager, Managing Committee of this Junior High School. The West Side Nala (Drainage Canal) of the Village also played an important role in Freedom Struggle. The embankments of this Nala were used by Chaudhary Shahmal Singh and his Army for their safe movement. The origin of Nala 1832* is Big Pond of Bijrol (Native Village of Chaudhary Shahmal Singh) and it runs through Bazidpur, Guarana, Badka, Sikka Idrishpur, Alawalpur, Sujra, Naurojpur, Niawada villages. The Nala joins Yamuna River in between Sisana & Niwada. Britishers had Pantoon Bridge over Yamuna at the same place to connect Punjab-Haryana and Delhi. This pontoon bridge was destroyed by Chaudhary Shahmal Singh to discontinue the Food Supplies to British Army which was fighting against him. Shri Jai Pal Singh S/O Shri Harnarayan Singh, Shri Jile Singh S/O Shri Charan Singh & Shri Sukh Pal Singh S/O Shri Raghunath Singh were arrested and spent 19 months in jail during internal emergency imposed by Mrs. Indira Gandhi. These Three were declared Loktantra Senani by Chief Minister Mulayam Singh. One of the Funniest thing must be mentioned here that Shri Baljit Singh S/O Umrao Singh, Shri Khachedu Singh S/O Shri Jani Singh & Shri Alam Singh S/O Shri Jahangir Singh joined the British Army but they escaped from the Training in 1946. British Army issued their arrest warrant but all three use to dodge the Police during their search. Since the Police didn't have their Photos therefore sometimes Policeman use to ask one of them did you see such and such? The same person that Police was looking for use to misguide them. This Cat and Mouse game ended with the declaration of Freedom in August 1947.

Resources Development

Only few of the Streets had Bricks laid on them during Chaudhary Bhim Singh's Pradhan tenure. Major Streets were upgraded during Chaudhary Surat Singh's Regime. The Historical development started by Chaudhary Surat Singh when he was successfully got Three Phase Electricity Supply for his Tube-well Crossing the Line over Shahdara Saharanpur Light Railway line in 1967. The Electricity Line was running East Side of the Line and his Tube-Well was almost One Kilometer West side of the Railway Line. The very Next year i.e. 1968 he was able to get approval of Two Tube-Well by Irrigation Department across the Big Nala. We Call them Bhood Area of Naurojpur Gujar. These Tube-Wells covered the holding of Naurojpur, Ladhwadi & Saroorpur Kalan Villages. The farmers each side of Nala were very happy having their land irrigated by these Two Tube-Wells. Irrigated land took them to way of Prosperity and they start getting more crops and production as well. Farmers from Naurojpur Gujar supply their Sugarcane at the Gate of Cooperative Sugar Factory Baghpat via dirt road. Chaudhry Surat Singh made an invocation the villagers Twice during his Pradhan tenure to improve the condition of this Dirt Road between Naurojpur Gujar and Baghpat. First in 1963 the whole village did a tremendous job to make this dirt level by their labor called Shramdaan. Every Single House-hold from the Village joined the hand of his leader Chaudhary Surat Singh to support his public welfare work. In 1970 Second time he again made another invocation but this time only for farmers those were supplying their Sugarcane to Sugar factory Baghpat. He requested to donate 5-10 Paise per quintal to built this Dirt Road to a Brick Road. In 1971 Cooperative Society Baghpat start their work from Delhi Saharanpur Road to convert this Dirt Road into a Painted Road just for One Kilometer. Village Panchayat Naurojpur Gujar start their work from Primary School to towards Niwada Banger as Brick Road. Shri Swaroop Chand Upadhyay completed this job as a contractor. The same Dirt Road was declared by District Board Road in 1984 extended to Binauli Via Silver Nagar Dhanaura. A stone was laid down by Shr N D Tiwari Chief Minister of UP. The function was headed by Chaudhary Surat Singh Pradhan and Mr. Kokab Hamid MLA Baghpat. Some of the Villagers especially Shri Pal Singh S/O Shri Sahab Singh & Shri Randhir Singh S/O Shri Dharam Singh destroyed the same Stone because they didn't like Ch: Surat Singh's name on the Stone. A Police complaint was filed by Lekhapl of this incident but Ch: Surat Singh asked the Police not to take action against them. Therefore no action was taken by the Police against them, though it was a clear criminal case of destroying Government property.

He had his own force of 500 muscles man those who use to collect revenue forcely from the Villagers. When Chaudhry Dulichand moved from Bagadu(Sonepat) to this Village Chaudhry Thambu imposed all the conditions on him. Chaudhry Dulichand accepted all the conditions but couldn't full filled these conditions later due to drought and left the Village after couple of Yrs. Chaudhary Dulichand and family settled in Naithala for few months and then they were allowed to come back at Naurojpur Gujar.
