Palak Gulia
Palak Gulia (पलक गुलिया) (born 9 November 2005) is an Indian sport shooter from Haryana. She competes in the 10m air pistol discipline. She is part of the Indian shooting team at the Asian Games, Hangzhou, China. She won the Asian Games gold in the 10m air pistol with an Asian Games record and added another silver in the team event. India won both gold and silver in the women 10m air pistol event with Esha Singh finishing second. She trains with the support of Reliance Foundation.
Palak hails from Nimana village in Jhajjar district, Haryana. She started shooting as a hobby before taking up the sport seriously at the age of 13 years, at the Faridabad shooting range under coach Rakesh Singh.[4] Her father Joginder Singh is a businessman and she has two younger siblings, twins, a brother and a sister. Her father shifted the family from Gurugram to Faridabad to support her training. She took up pistol event, since her coach coaches only in that discipline

पलक की चचेरी बहन का कहना है कि वह बचपन से ही काफी मेहनती रही हैं। खेल ही नहीं पलक पढ़ाई में भी अव्वल रही हैं। चचेरी बहन ने बताया कि पलक का सपना ओलंपिक खेलों में भारत के लिए पदक जीतना और देश का नाम रोशन करना है।
चीन के हांगझोऊ में चल रहे एशियाई खेलों में हरियाणा के झज्जर की पलक गुलिया ने इतिहास रच दिया। 17 साल की इस निशानेबाज ने 10 मीटर एयर पिस्टल स्पर्धा में स्वर्ण पदक जीता। पलक की जीत से उनके गांव के साथ साथ पूरे देश में खुशी का माहौल है। उनके घर पर परिजनों ने मिठाइयां बांटीं और पटाखे जलाकर खुशियां मनाईं।
टीम स्पर्धा में ईशा-दिव्या के साथ मिलकर जीता रजत -पलक ने न सिर्फ व्यक्तिगत स्पर्धा में स्वर्ण जीता, बल्कि 10 मीटर एयर पिस्टल की टीम स्पर्धा में ईशा (579), पलक (577) और टीएस दिव्या (575) ने कुल 1731 का स्कोर कर रजत जीता। चीन ने 1736 के साथ स्वर्ण जीता। इसी के साथ ईशा और पलक ने व्यक्तिगत मुकाबलों के लिए क्वालिफाई किया।
पलक के घर पर खुशी का माहौल
17 वर्षीय पलक झज्जर जिले के निमाणा गांव की रहने वाली हैं। उनके पैतृक गांव में लोग फुले नहीं समा रहे हैं। गांव के सरपंच और पलक के चाचा ने कहा है कि बेटी के हांगझोऊ से आने पर ढोल नगाड़ों के साथ स्वागत किया जाएगा।

- 2023: In June, Palak won the gold in the 10m air pistol event in the 21st Kumar Surendra Singh pistol championship at the Madhya Pradesh Academy in Bhopal.
- 2023: In August, she took part in the team event at the ISSF World Shooting Championships at Baku, Azerbaijan, a qualifying event for Olympics but failed to make the mark.
- 2022: She was part of the Indian women team that won silver in the 10m air pistol team event at the Shotgun and Rifle/Pistol World Championships in Cairo, Egypt.
- 2022: On May 11, she won gold at the ISSF Junior Cup in Suhl, Germany.
