Parminder Singh Dhull

Parminder Singh Dhull (born 4 March 1957) is a politician of the State of Haryana, India. He is elected as Member of Legislative Assembly of Haryana from Julana constituency of Jind District in the year 2009 and 2014.. He was earlier associated with Indian National Lok Dal which wass headed by Chaudhary Om Prakash Chautala.

In the elections held in October 2019, he contested from Julana constituency as a BJP candidate. He got 37749 votes but lost the seat to Amarjeet Dhanda of JJP who got 61942 votes.

Early life

Parminder Singh Dhull was born in village Ramrai of District Jind. His father Chaudhary Dal Singh was a noted public man active in politics for a long time. He was elected six times as an M.L.A. from District Jind. He started his career with Indian National Congress and acted as President of the District Congress Committee, Jind from 1996 to 2005. He is B.A., LL.B., and member of the District Bar Association, Jind and Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association.

Elections fought

1991: Fought as Indian National Congress candidate and lost by a narrow margin of about 2000 votes to Mr. Suraj Bhan Kajal.

1996: Fought as Congress (Tiwari) candidate and was placed at third place. The winner of the election was Mr. Satnarain Lather.

2005: Fought as independent candidate after resigning from the primary membership of Indian National Congress, had a tough contest with Congress Candidate Mr. Sher Singh. Lost by a narrow margin of 6800 votes2005 Election .

2009: Fought as Indian National Lok Dal candidate and won the election with a huge margin of 12800 votes from Mr.Sher SinghJulana Election Results 2009

2014: Fought as Indian National Lok Dal candidate and won the election with a huge margin of 23000 votes from Mr.Dharminder Singh.

2019: Fought election as a BJP candidate but lost.

He was member of the State Executive of the Indian National Lok Dal[1] He was also member of Public Account Committee] of Haryana Assembly.

Other information

He is known for his great speech skills and for raising development questions in the Assembly sessions. He has raised question of appointing Leander Paes as sports ambassador of Haryana.
